Alumni in the Department of Statistics have gone on to utilize what they have learned as undergraduates in a variety of different ways. Many have elected to continue their education in graduate programs or professional schools, but our alumni have also found success entering the workforce directly after graduation.
Graduates have careers in data and policy analysis in government, financial management, quality control, the insurance and health care industry, actuarial work, engineering, public health, biological research, and education. Alumni are prepared for a variety of opportunities after graduation not only because of the rigor and breadth of their coursework, but the many opportunities to participate in research and internships as an undergraduate.
