All second and fourth year+ students and first year transfer students in Statistics and Data Science are required to fulfill a mandatory advising requirement. A registration hold will be placed on your record but will be removed once you have met your mandatory advising requirement. Below is additional information about the timeline for mandatory advising and how to fulfill your mandatory advising requirement.
Fourth Year+ Students and 2nd Year+ Transfer Students
The goals of mandatory advising are to encourage students to engage in their educational experience, proactively check their remaining requirements, and learn more about how to become involved in the department and UC Davis as a whole. As a student in senior standing, this is also the opportunity to discuss resources for your transition out of UC Davis and your goals for the future. Please read the information below carefully and contact the Statistics Staff Advisors at stat-advising@ucdavis.edu with any questions.
Hold Timeline:
During Fall Quarter, fourth year+ and second year+ transfer student majors will receive a hold which will prevent schedule adjustments starting after the Registration Freeze ends for Winter Quarter classes. The hold will begin on December 13th. You must meet the Department’s Advising Requirement (see below) before December 13th to get your hold removed. The hold does not impact your Pass 1 or Pass 2 registration periods.
